What’s Included
Private access
Guests are granted exclusive access at Congaree and Penn, including the quonset hut patio, indoor bar, and the surrounding farm. The garden, orchards, architectural uniqueness, and southern scenery provide a beautiful backdrop with little need for added decoration.
One hour before and after the venue rental time is provided for setup and teardown.

* If the guest count exceeds 120 guests, disposable tablewares will be provided to supplement the remaining guest count. Alternatively, the client may rent their own glassware, flatware, and dinnerware in place of all of the offered tablewares.

Recommended for parties of 50 or more guests. All station, salad, entrée, and side selections are the same for everyone must reflect the total number of guests. Vegan substitutions can be provided.

Available for parties of up to 60 guests. All menu selections are the same for everyone and must reflect the total number of guests. Vegan substitutions can be provided.

Available for parties of up to 60 guests. Salad, bread, and side selections must reflect the total number of guests. A variation of up to three entrées is permitted when a seating chart with guest selections is provided.
Our kitchen
We specialize in elevated farm to table cuisine that features Congaree and Penn products, locally sourced and sustainably raised produce and meats, and locally caught wild seafood.

Beverage ServicE

Enjoy a selection of iced tea, shrub sodas, sparkling water & Mexican Coca Cola.

$25 per guest for up to three hours of bar service
Choose up to five selections of house wine, three local beers, and two ciders for up to three hours of bar service. Also includes the above non alcoholic selections. An upgraded wine list is available by request.
Additional service beyond three hours is $5 per guest per hour.

The following services are available only as an add-on to the wine, beer & cider package. Add on services cannot be added to cash bar service.

Event guests purchase their own beverages from Congaree and Penn’s regular beverage menu, or the event host provides a credit card before bar service begins. Cash bars are limited to wine, beer, cider, and non alcoholic beverages. Liquor is not permitted. 20% gratuity will be automatically added.

Yes – while we do not require a beverage minimum, we do require a food minimum of $40 per guest. Additional sales tax and gratuity will also apply.
During weekends in high season months, a food & beverage minimum of $10,000 must be met.

No. Congaree and Penn requires the use of our own food & beverage program. We only allow exceptions for dessert and add on liquor service (available only to clients who have opted for beer, wine & cider service).

All rentals must be delivered, set up, torn down, and removed within the contracted timeframe on the day of the event. Congaree and Penn is not responsible for coordinating delivery, receipt, and / or setup or teardown of rentals.

Decorate as you please! We do not allow anything to be applied to our walls or trees that will cause damage. If you choose to use candles, we require that they be contained to prevent damage to our surfaces. Confetti, glitter, and loose balloons are not permitted. All decorations must be removed without leaving damages.

Our sweet spot is 100 guests. We can accommodate up to 200 guests, but this usually requires the rental of a tent, additional furniture, glassware, dinnerware & flatware, and great faith in the weather.

Because we are the venue, we focus exclusively on making sure the space, food, and beverages are prepared for your event. We do not provide coordination before or during the event. Therefore, we highly encourage clients to hire a professional event coordinator noted on our Vendors We Love list. You are also welcome to appoint an event host who acts as the coordinator.

Because we are an open air outdoor venue, Congaree and Penn does not permit subwoofers or amplified music that exceeds 75 decibels. While we always recommend acoustic bands, low amplification that does not exceed 75 decibels is permitted. Music via Spotify or Amazon playlists may also be played through our house Sonos music system. Only approved musicians are permitted.

To secure a date, please email hello@congareeandpenn.com for assistance. A signed booking agreement and a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the venue rental rate are due immediately to reserve the date of your event. The remaining fees are due at least 14 days before the event date. Payment may be made via ACH bank transfer or credit card. Credit card payments will incur a three percent convenience fee.
