Explore Congaree and Penn’s 330 acres.
All you need is a farm pass – it’s your ticket to access the farm grounds for the day. With a farm pass, you can enjoy a stroll through our sprawling acres anytime during business hours.
You’ll see the Little Trout River running through the property, the cypress trees that grow along its banks, and live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. During most seasons, wildflowers are scattered throughout the farm, and manicured mayhaw, olive, and pecan orchards abound. From great blue herons to black-bellied whistling ducks, and even the occasional roseate spoonbill, the farm is a bird watcher’s paradise. You’ll also see our goats, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, emus, and horses from outside of their paddocks. If you’re game for a hike, walk deeper into the farm to discover trails, the oak hammock, beaver dams, more waterways, a wide open field, and our tree farm.
Farm passes are required for all guests ages two and older to enjoy the farm beyond the dining area. Farm passes are available to purchase upon arrival. Please note that farm passes are valid for one day only. Congaree and Penn does not offer seasonal or annual farm passes.

FAQ
can I reserve farm passes in advance?
We only sell farm passes in advance for special events like Luminaria. Otherwise, you will be able to purchase farm passes upon arrival. Please note that farm passes are rain or shine and nonrefundable and nontransferable no matter the circumstance.
are farm passes the same thing as a farm tour?
No. Farm passes are simply an entry fee that allow access onto the farm grounds. With a farm pass, you are welcome to enjoy the farm on your own. If you would like to reserve a guided farm tour or another guided agritourism experience, click on over to our agritourism page.
Can I Picnic on the farm grounds?
Outside food & beverages are not permitted at Congaree and Penn. Please make a dining reservation if you would like to enjoy lunch or dinner at the farm.
Can I bring Fido?
Well behaved canines on leashes that do not extend beyond six feet are always welcome at Congaree and Penn. Dogs do not require a farm pass. Owners must always be in full control of their dog. We have many feathered friends who live on our farm; please keep Fido away. Dogs are welcome on the patio, but please be mindful of other guests who are dining. Owners are responsible for escorting barking dogs away from the patio. Dogs must remain leashed at all times.
Are the farm grounds wheelchair & stroller accessible?
Beyond the dining area, the terrain is uneven. Some paths are paved with gravel, and others are natural, bumpier, and prone to puddles. You’re welcome to give it a shot!
